yes yes i will give credit when credit is due. quotes jaNUAry from the all influential J. Chong and of course, his most famous phrase of all time – ” 2 years have passed while love has blossomed fast” HAHA! its been a heck of a long time since i last blogged. Basically since the phuket trip? After much tagging and uploading of photos, I have been too lazy to even blog or upload photos onto this personal space of mine. Oops?

Of course, it has been quite a happening 20 plus days since my last entry. Most noteworthy being the family trip to Turkey. Like what i have been telling everyone, the trip itself was not too bad but coach tours are not exactly my kinda thing. Paying so much money and i can safely say 30% of the trip was spent sleeping on the bus HAHA. That aside, I am sure Christians, Catholics and Muslims would find the places we visited a whole lot more meaningful due to numerous religious links here and there but it is definitely still an eye-opener.

Countdown to the new year was with the usual suspects of 2703 for our “annual” countdown meetup. Was seriously quite shocked about the turn up rate. Imagine 17 guys as one big mob walking around town. And yes, we did that..literally. Walking from suntec to marina square to esplanade to raffles city to timbre and finally ending up at Fort Canning Park. Considering we managed to leech off the music from timbre, it was quite a chill-out countdown sitting down on the grassy slope catching up over couple of bottled drinks. Considering how long i have not seen any of them besides the annual meet up, i was kinda surprised over how much people actually change from our young “innocent” cat high days. From picking up smoking to even the rumoured tattoos, you can guess how unpleasant surprised i was. Not that i am judging but its the kind of sinking disappointment that was continually tugging that eventually got me thinking. It has been 6 years since our Sec 2 days. 6 years is a long time. 6 years can definitely change people, for the better or for the worse. When i actually do graduate from my course, it would be 5 years from now too. Lets hope when we all meet up then, we get pleasantly surprised at how much everyone has grown.

Putting that aside, there was also john’s 21st birthday, the class BBQ, hardcore kicksumball and endless mahjong sessions that helped to span the past few weeks. But honestly, the nua-ism of a jobless 20 year old waiting for studies a month later is justified…..right? Waking up at 1pm and sleeping at 3am has practically become my daily sleeping pattern. Sigh! I should have emailed clinics for internships way way earlier but i guess its too late. For now, I guess i shall just go re-read my old chem notes, watch my unwatched tv series and go for my impromptu mahjong sessions HAHA!

P.S : Im starting to pass the SNSD phase already. Good thing or bad ahahaha?

what a nua week it has been. practically have been rotting at home, recuperating from the marathon. the only outing was the impromptu pilot project which ended up as a prata date between chong and i at casuarina’s. HEH! nevermind. it is a start. with so many drivers in our class community, i am sure we are so gonna exploit it ( in most cases sharon josh and i) for more supper trips in january itself.

one big incident happened today as i went out to draw money at the ocbc bank near my place. was nearly knocked down by a freaking lorry who was parking on the slope. lucky my reaction was fast enough to smack the tailboard and halt its reversing. bloody idiots who anyhow park is one issue. reversing without checking and at such a fast speed and VERY NEARLY knocking me down just pisses me off. glared at the ass for quite sometime.

NEVERMIND! shit things aside, tomorrow will be flying off to the sunny beaches of Phuket. Action packed december awaits me =DDD ADIOS!

hohoho! it has been a super packed week! outings after outings after outings. with all the meetups and meals, my savings also seem to be depleting at a crazy crazy rate. everytime draw 30-40, draw 30-40. Go for 10 meals = $400. Holy shit, the woes of ORD personnel!

to prevent a very very wordy post. i shall summarise the highlights of the week:

- meetup with the crazy nooby juniors jenny and sihui who still have not changed a single bit. thanks for the belated birthday presents and the random random surprise!

- shopping with betty siew and dinner with ah siao. totally didnt know about the existence of this 313 and truth be told, i didnt know that Orchard Central was a new shopping centre until i saw the advertisements on tv. cooped up in tekong for far too long? starbucks before a meal and the arcade claw machine (its a conjob i swear) is highly highly unrecommended.

- race pack collection with rach before the very very belated ord/birthday celebration treat at Yakinikku Daidomon. I realised recently i am down with the First-Times-The-Best syndrome. The first time i went to Skinny Pizza and Daidomon was super super awesome but the follow up so far failed to reach similar standards. ANYWAYS! shall just let the photos do the talking!

and of course the highlight of the week, none other than the long-awaited marathon which none of us really trained for. the two jokers stayed over at my place and slept at 1 due to watching the arsenal game. 3hrs of sleep for a 42km marathon. YEA WE’RE DAM WELL PREPARED! Just checked the race timings and it stated 10km – 1hr 26mins, 21km 2hrs 58mins, 32km, 4hr 54min and 42.195km, 6h 20mins. Technically, this shows we were very consistent throughout the race which was good. Started off pretty well at a comfortable consistent pace before rach’s chui knees started acting up on the 17km mark and we had our first walk. I swear walking is like a drug. Once u start walking, you will be tempted to have more. The strat quickly changed from the initial Jog 4km Walk 1km to Jog 2km Walk 1km to Jog 1km Walk 1km and the last 6km was essentially walk all the way LOL! Well, i guess josh and i are really now even. Mine for chui-ing during Adventure Victoria and his for converting the marathon to a Terry Fox Run HAHA!

now that the marathon is over.. muscle aches aplenty but im glad im without any joint pains 2 more days and im sure i will be good to go! lets hope i still continue to run actively though. now that i think about it, 6hrs + of such a grueling workout, even 21km seems super nub now.

Woah! With the introduction of my new laptop, i have offically converted my room to my very own mini studio. Practice for my future Sydney experience. Literally doing everything in my room from – eat, sleep, watch tv, use com, barring shitting of course! The good thing is that now i get to lie on my bed ( for those of you that know me well, i STUDY on my bed) and use the com. But im starting to miss the imba download speeds of a direct line. Wireless is incomparable to it. Of course, the “good” thing that comes out of this wireless thing is that i am not so addicted to SNSD anymore. Too slow at streaming the videos LOL!

Anyway, ran about an hour and i have my left knee, right thigh and right ankle crumbling already. SC2009 42.125km run is so gonna tear me a new asshole.

P.S: Since im going to stay up till 3.45am to catch the Carling Cup match, Arsenal better whoop Manshitty 3-0 after that horrible 3-0 to Chelsea over the weekend. COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

whipped up pancakes (AGAIN), sausages and cheese omelette for family brunch today. can really tell the difference between wok cooking and nonstick pan. even tried some flips here and there HAHA! this sedentary lifestyle – cooking, reading vet books, watching tv and using com. im gonna grow fat so fast without knowing it. what happened to keep fit. what happened to runs every 2 days.

sigh. yes and i didnt run today. gg
